| I have not updated this thing in so long. I don't really feel compelled to write my life down. No one reads xangas anymore anyway. Beyond high school I see a blank void of nothingness. Help? Nathaniel | | |
| March 7th, Nathaniel Independence Day, is coming near. Make sure to have some little celebration because I know I will. Trimester exams. Woo! But that friday I'll probably go see the new remake of The Hills Have Eyes. It looks freaky as all get up.
I had the most crazy realistic dream. I went to a movie theater and I looked into a mirror and I looked old and the lines in my face were cracked and dry and I just freaked. I then proceeded to run home which required me to jump over a fallen out bridge several times. I get home and my face is normal, for a bit. Then I look in another mirror and I have all these fungal growths on my faces. I get them off but everyone at the house thinks I'm crazy and one of the last lines was this:
Nathaniel in the dream: Maybe I dreamed this all!
Mom in the dream: Yeah, maybe you did.
I then woke up, proceeding to scare the shit out of Andrew and the girl he was with. My initial yells when coming to conciousness startled them a bit.
so yeah, off to do some Physics.
Until next time,
Nathaniel

| Not to jump on the whole "Valentine's Day sucks" bandwagon but it truly is a lame holiday if you are not part of a couple. Utterly and completly depressing. I'll probably spend it watching High Fidelity or something.
I won a Shakespeare competition.
My SAT scores suck.
I'm on lockdown at my house for reasons that aren't really appropriate to go into in a xanga. So there.
The Passports are on hiatus, for how long I'm not sure. I don't even know if we're on the same wavelengths anymore to be able to work as a band.
I'm grateful for the friends I have.
Valentine's Day still sucks.
Our new history teacher is quite awesome and I think I'm the only one that likes her.
The Winter Olympics opening ceremony made me laugh so hard I cried.
Time to go read Huckleberry Finn.
Until next time, faithful readers,

| I haven't updated this thing in so long. I figured there must be some symbolism in kick starting my xanga the same day Jesus was born. Right?
Anyhoo, I guess its time for a recap on my life:
I'm sort of doing ok in most of my classes at O'Neal.. I was stumbling in Physics and Precal but I'm on my feet. US History is a breeze. I had one test that dipped down into the B range, barely. English isn't too hard but I've gotten a bit lazy, hince my grades have suffered. I expect them to rise once I get back to school.
The band I'm in, The Passports, is what I've been putting most of my time in. We had our first show November 12 at the very large Fair Barn. It was the largest crowd I have ever played in front of. We were on a pretty tall stage and there was just this sea of people. The PA was a bit fucked up but I mean, it was just amazing. All these people grooving to songs you wrote, it was moving. We recorded a song since then, its up on MySpace (www.myspace.com/thepassports). We're about to do another, in a nice studio and what not. Assuming it all gets together, we haven't had much luck the previous attempts. Our drummer has also sort of flaked out on us. He never goes to practice and he expects us just to let him in the band. You HAVE to come to practice. I've gone every practice that I can possibly make. I think I missed one for Model UN.
Socially, things were going good for a while. I was dating this very sweet girl, Leah. I mean, we were different from each other but we got a long great. Thats what I thought at least. Then one week she just sort of stopped talking to me. So I confronted her about it and she gave the usual "Oh, I don't feel the same" spiel and that was that I guess. I haven't really found anyone else but I'm kind of enjoying being single. I mean, there are times I wish I was with someone but the majority of the time I have a pretty good time. I usually just hang out with the rest of the Passports or with Sarah, Kathryn, Laura and that whole crowd from school. This usually involves recording of some kind with the former and seeing a movie with the latter. I've seriously seen all but two movies at our local theater.
Speaking of films, everyone needs to go see King Kong. It is so effin' sweet. It has dinosaurs, fights, giant bugs, and Peter Jackson directed. How could it not be bad? The Family Stone wasn't horrible either. The last movie I saw was Memoirs of a Geisha. It was a pretty good movie, I hadn't read the book. From what I understood, the movie was a lot more tame then the book.
So anyway, back to the present. This Christmas I made out like a bandit. I got a new Marshall half stack. Words cannot describe how awesome. Its like pure rock music in a can. I also got some new CDs, thank good. I received 'The Tennessee Fire' by My Morning Jacket, 'Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?' by The Unicorns, the self-titled Major Organ and the Adding Machine CD, and the self-titled Antony and the Johnsons CD. Welp, I'm off. I just thought you guys deserved an update of some kind. Let you know I'm still alive and all that jazz. Until next time, faithful readers.

| Wow, I haven't updated this thing in quite a while.
Life in North Carolina is treating me swell. I'm in a band. We're called the passports and we have a demo up on myspace. www.myspace.com/thepassports. Check it out.
School is going pretty good. Physics and French III are very hard, but the teachers make it worth it. I absolutely love my teachers.
Anyway, I'm off like a dirty shirt!
